Roasting Competition Beans | Round 2

Roasting Competition Beans | Round 2

Second round of roasting the competition beans for the Hacea Coffee Source roasting competition.

Today was quite difficult. I reduced my sample size from 500g down to 300g and it was hard to keep the temperature and overall curve close to where I wanted it to be. I think that was a big factor in today's roast. Furthermore, I feel like I rushed through the process, which internally messed up my flow.

All of the roasts came out a bit lighter than last week's roasts, so at least it is a good point of reference to see if my final versions will be best lighter or more of a medium roast.

At the end of the day, these are all point of reference to learn from. Video of the entire process will be coming in the future.

Here's a short of me pouring this delicious Colombian Special Roast.

Happy Brewing!
