Coffee Competition Submission!
Share
Today's the day! We just submitted our coffee into the Hacea Coffee Source coffee competition. It was actually a lot more difficult than I imagined, and here's why.
As written earlier, I have no idea what kind of beans these are. Whether they are high or low elevation, what type of flavor notes to expect, origin, etc. They are only labeled "A", "B", and "C". The fun was when I cupped all of the coffees individually and found out about the flavors.
"A" was more nutty, good to use as a base
"B" was very flavorful, almost like a fruity, melon tea.
"C" was acidic, lots of citrus just like our Mutt Roast (maybe of Ethiopian origin)
The way that these beans were combined is part of the fun, and part of our upcoming video where I go into detail on what I did to get the blend prepared for the competition.
Happy Brewing!
